OLD-Adaptive Watersports Experience Days

September 12

Bartlett Lake • Tonto National Forest
Special directions to the event will be emailed to all registrants!

Survivors ages 18+ and their families

Join We’re MOVING FORWARD! for our very own Adaptive Water-sports experience at Bartlett Lake on Saturday 9/12 (only) with Arizona Adaptive Water-sports!

Cost this year is $85 and WMF is paying $60 of this cost for survivors.

The maximum amount of participants will be 20 per day.  Get signed up ASAP to reserve your space!

Deadline to register is August 27th

  • WMF will not be providing lunch as previously planned.  You will need to bring your own lunch, snacks, drinks etc.
  • Water stations WILL NOT be provided this year to refill your water containers.  WMF will have a limited amount of water bottles available.
  • The usual seating area for lunch and socializing will not be available this year.  A few seats will be available here and there.
  • Specific time sessions will be designated once everyone is signed up.  The purpose of this is to help with social distancing and keep those in each session moving right from one activity to another and prevent sitting around time so that you are done in a more timely manner.

PLEASE NOTE – this event is separate from “Day on the Lake” through Barrow.  Please feel free to attend both, however WMF is only helping with costs on 9/12.

Those that previously registered for 9/11 will have the option to attend on 9/12.  We will refund the registration fee to anyone who is unable to attend and/or to those that had registered and paid for an additional day.

Please e-mail us at info@wmforward.org with your intentions.

Activities include:

  • Adaptive water skiing (maximum of 20 participants per day; we will start a wait list once we reach 20)
  • Tubing
  • Kayaking
  • Fshing
  • Party boat
  • Wake-boarding (maximum of 10-12 participants per day).

NOTE: Due to social distancing, participants will only be allowed to bring (1) person with them.  They will not be allowed to go out on the jet ski/waterski boats with you this year as in past years.  If circumstances allow, the person you bring with you may be able to go on the party boat ride, fishing boat and kayaks with you.

If you need assistance transferring, the person attending with you will need to be able to help transfer you.  If you require more than one person to transfer you, AAWS will require you to sign a waiver of liability to have one of their volunteers assist you.  This will need to be done in advance of your attendance.  Contact Jo Crawford at:  https://www.azadaptivewatersports.org/contact

All participants will be required to sign a Waiver of Release of Liability and Photo Release for WMF and Arizona Adaptive Watersports.  Arizona Adaptive Watersports will also require you to complete their online information when it is up and running.

Individuals who have previously attended the Day on the Lake program will not be required to do a water intake.

NEW PARTICIPANTS – You will be required to do a water intake.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!  Effective 1/1/18.  If you register to attend an activity or event and end up being a “No Show” OR if you have not notified us in writing that you are unable to attend BEFORE the registration deadline, you will not be entitled to a refund of any portion you paid and We’re MOVING FORWARD! reserves the right to invoice you for any portion that was paid on your behalf.
