Immediate family is described as the survivor’s parents, spouse, siblings and children. 

$12 per person ages 13 and up

$6 per child ages 6 thru 12

Kids 5 and under are free (Registration is still required)


Come join us as we celebrate the brain injury survivors in our lives and kick off “Brain Injury Awareness Month.”

Several vendors will be joining us to provide you with additional resources throughout the community.


We will be ordering new WMF t-shirts.  Information will be provided soon regarding the cost.  If you order and receive in time, please wear the new shirt or your previous GREEN We’re MOVING FORWARD! shirt


We are excited to have One Step Beyond, Inc., cater our picnic this year.  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Assorted Chips, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches will be served. 


If you have dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring your own food.


Park Features:

(6) Large Ramada’s (all reserved for our group) with (6) BBQ's and sinks

Fishing Lake - fishing permit required

Kids playground - swing sets (splash pad not open during this time of year)

Restroom - near kid’s playground


Parking:  Available off of the Olive Avenue Entrance.  This is the area closest to our Ramada(s).  If this parking lot is full, you can park off of 83rd Avenue at the main entrance of the park.


WMF will provide yard games, board games and cards.  If you have anything you would like to bring, please make sure your item(s) are marked with your name.  Do not bring anything that has stakes, as they are not permitted.


What to bring:  Lunch if you have dietary restrictions, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, cell phone, and fishing equipment (only if you have a permit).  Weather can change at any time.  Watch the weather forecast and be prepared.  Layering your clothing is always a good idea.

It is not necessary to bring your own chairs, and you do NOT need to bring a side or dessert.  As stated, everything is catered this year.

No Dogs/Pets allowed including therapy animals.  Only registered service dogs will be allowed.

This event will take place Rain or Shine!


Transportation/SafetyWe’re MOVING FORWARD! does not provide anyone to assist with care and/or safety needs.  Participants are responsible for their own safety.  If mobility, cognitive, vision or other issues can be foreseen putting any participant at risk, it is the participant’s obligation to have a responsible party attend with them to assist with their needs and safety.  We also do not provide transportation. 


If you use public transportation please make sure that you are scheduled to be picked up no later than 4:00 pm, as we can’t guarantee anyone will be there after that time.


Option to Invoice for "No Show”  If you register for an activity/event online or by mail and are unable to attend, please notify us in writing at or by calling one of the numbers listed below prior to the applicable registration deadline.  If we are not notified of change in attendance prior to the deadline, we will not be able to issue a refund for any amount you paid.  In addition, if you have registered for a “FREE” spot paid on your behalf by We’re MOVING FORWARD! and do not notify us of your change in attendance before the applicable deadline or are a “no show”, we reserve the right to invoice you for the amount that was paid on your behalf.


Required Documents to Attend/ParticipateA Waiver-Media Release/Info Form is required for each person attending any We’re MOVING FORWARD! activity/event.  This information is for emergency purposes and also for us to gather statistics for grants.  We will never share your personal information without your prior consent.  This document is automatically generated and e-mailed to you upon registering for an activity/event online.  If you did not complete this information at the Christmas Party or have not mailed them to us in advance, you will be required to bring them with you to the first activity/event that you attend in 2019.  The document is good for the full year.
